Bathing beauty

I feel like this picture really captures Tillie: bright-eyed, cheerful, chubby goodness.

Goblins 2013

Another fun neighborhood Halloween parade. Met up with the Gep Family, the Lewis Family, and lots of other friends. The festivities wouldn't have been complete without a bloody knee (Liam), costume malfunctions (Tristen), a wrong turn (all of us). Peaks frozen custard at the end made it all worthwhile.

Berts, Ernies, Bernies

Pumpkins are generally Berts or Ernies. I usually prefer an Ernie myself -- who can resist a round pumpkin? -- though this year I went with a "Bernie."

Tillie wiped down the pumpkins for us.

Quin from across the street stopped by while we were carving.
Shirtless is really the way to go.
Carving crew: Amy and Katie joined us.
Abigail, I wanted change it up, but the shape of my
"Bernie" pumpkin just begged for a classic design!

Spooky.

Compare, contrast to years past.

Boo

This year's crop of window decorations. Check out Candy Corn Man. He's my favorite.

Family fall hike

The road to Lake Dorothy was closed, so we doubled back to Wallace Falls. Still a darned nice family hike. Both Chomper and Baby Bear (trail names for Tristen and Tillie) were troopers; we covered about five miles in all.

Hunting for pumpkins

Another fun trip to the pumpkin farm. Some of my fave pix from the trip!

A perfect day in Bellingham

A rare and precious sunny autumn day perfectly spent in Bellingham with Vicki, Ross, Jonas, and Jember

Picnic lunch and goofing around at the park.
