Third grade

I'm feeling extremely grateful today for these incredible, healthy children. Tristen is super excited to start third grade: loves his teacher, his school, and learning. I only cried a little this year. :)

We took these pictures on a fun family bike ride to Mathew's Beach.

Easter bunnies

An evening of egg-dying, pancake breakfast, dress-up clothes from Grandma, full baskets, and egg hunt (also courtesy of Grandma). All-in-all, a nice pagan holiday.

Pajama walk

A spring and summer staple at our house: the evening pajama walk.

Sugar plums

Feel my pain here. No matter what I tried, I could not get both kids to cooperate and give me as cute a pic as last year. Uncle.

One!

We were actually camping (stay tuned for that post) on Tillie's birthday, so we celebrated mid-week with fancy cupcakes (courtesy of Aunt Amy). Proud mom that I am, I had to include the full range of cupcake-tasting pix here: setup, presentation, full face, delight, and aftermath.

Christmas duds

Where would the world be without Grandmas, Scotch plaid, and Christmas clothes?

Red washcloths

A while back I bought a new pack of brightly colored baby washcloths and added them to our stash. Tristen informed me that he would save all the red ones for Tillie. "Because they're my favorites," he said.

So the other day, when I opened the drawer and there were ONLY red washcloths left, I knew it must be time for Tillie's first home bath. Luckily, Aunt Amy was on hand as well.  Five-year-old + newborn bath + photo documentation = need for many hands.

The bathing crew.
