Christmas day

'Twas the night before...

It was a Star Wars-themed holiday. Gee, thanks, Santa. Those light sabers
were no trouble at all on Christmas day.

Vibrum five fingers!

Ladybug hat. :)

Yar!

Moose toy. She LOVES it!

Christmas chaos.

Reading Star Wars in Christmas sweaters.

Christmas duds

Where would the world be without Grandmas, Scotch plaid, and Christmas clothes?

Christmas prep

Not pictured: ornament-making. Which is weird, since it was a MAJOR part of our lives and kitchen in the weeks leading up to Christmas. The ornaments and the Christmas eggs and the window decorations we made...If I ever write a memoir, this particular chapter of my life would be titled, "Even the baby is shitting glitter."

We made wreaths from coat hangers, wires, and a backyard cedar marked for death.

Decorating the tree.

Tristen and I made these paper mache Christmas eggs for some family.
We filled them with art or office supplies, depending on the recpients.

Tillie at the ice skating rink.

Lots of drop-bys made the season fun. Yay, Dan!

Reservoir dogs

The Maple Leaf Reservoir -- mere blocks from our house -- is being capped and turned into a huge park. TOTAL score for our 'hood.

And speaking of scores, Chris nabbed three tickets to tour the underground reservoir before it gets filled with water, now that the cap is complete. No babes in arms allowed, so John took my ticket!

Tday 2011

The two tables don't HAVE to be touching. An innovation!

Best mashed potatoes ever.

Right on time this year!

Awww. John and Shel.

Ricing!

We knew the electric knife would come in handy for
something besides carving boat seats.
