Mother's Day 2012: rockery!

At long last, we started on the rockery. My Mother's Day present from all of us. Got the rest of the garden in, too.

Heather and Paul and Lucy and Oscar dropped in for a few days. SOOOOO great to catch up. Fun to have a dinner with the Gebhardt's, too. Paul was on serious reading duty throughout his visit.

Easter this year: was it wrong to open a Corona before the late church service started? I felt a little sheepish as everyone marched by in their bonnets. But damn, it was the first great gardening weekend! We just had to get out there. Tristen was sick. He rallied for egg-hunting, but stayed in his green pajamas. (Thanks to my mom, who sent the Easter egg hunt to us this year!) Tillie, at least, was appropriately attired. Our own little garden gnome.
